Welcome to the World

Thank you for all of your sweet comments, love and support on our departure for the hospital.  I’m so happy to report that we are back from the hospital with the most special gift in the whole wide world…Josephine Audrey.  Josie came into this world at 10:45 on February 7th and she is absolutely perfect.  What a wonderful miracle!IMG_1549

Josie is an absolute joy and we are counting our lucky stars.  We both love the name Josephine.  There is also a long line of Josephs on my side of the family, most importantly Josie’s Uncle Joe.  We named her Audrey after Graham’s maternal grandmother who was a very special woman and who is watching down on her now.  And there you have it, no more BGB – JAB it is.

Now I must be off to go cuddle with her and stare at her more.  I can’t take my eyes off of her!

Kate she is beautiful!!! Congratulations to you and Graham! I love her name too! We’ve always loved the name Josephine, doesn’t work well on boys though. ;) Soak it all in, it goes by so quickly!

Randomly came across your blog after searching for a pin of the origami map dress art which I saw for the first time today on the Restoration Hardware site. I am, 13 odd months later, still trying to finalise the perfect nursery for our daugther! She is in a lovely ivory painted (by hubby) sleigh cot in our bedroom still! After I saw you were considering the paper dress art for your nursery I perused the rest of your blog to guess at when your baby arrived and to see the completed nursery. It appears your daughter was hard won like ours (8 years for us) and we also thought she was to be a boy until the moment she finally arrived in the delivery room! However, the most uncanny thing – our daughter was born on the exact same day as yours – but in Australia! And this was such a random landing! Must be a good luck day that day!

Best wishes, your baby, nursery and indeed whole house looks amazing.

I realised baby-brain is still at work – our daughter was born exactly a year later – not the same day! :)
