Shopping Kids

March 13, 2012 at 10:29 AM 3 comments

As I’ve said before on the blog, kids stores are great resources for us adults.  They usually have lower prices but sometimes a nice adult look.  Over the years, as an adult, I’ve made quite a few kids purchases…

From Land of Nod, I got this fantastic vertical striped pillow for my bed –

They are all sold out of that now (I think it was a Christmas thing), but Land of Nod has these cute shams that would also work with adult bedding…

With the shams above, you could always put together my favorite color combo: red, white and blue…

Land of Nod and Pottery Barn Teen are my two favorite resources for shopping.  What about you?  Do you ever shop for yourself at kid’s stores?

Sometimes I look for rugs and mirrors at children’s stores – they usually have a larger selection of bright, playful colors than their adult counterparts.

So funny that you posted this! I just ordered this pillow (part of a Teen Vogue bedding set at JC Penney)!!

Gosh, thanks for the tip! I won’t ever forget it now. I just came from Ashley’s at Meet Me in Philadelphia. She’s showing her red, white, and blue bedroom today.

I love the diagonal stripe on that pillow from Land of Nod — too bad they’re sold out…
