Thank you for all of your sweet comments about my dad’s birthday.  They meant so much to me and we had a beautiful day celebrating him.

Happy Monday, everyone.  Today, I thought I would share a love of mine…wallpaper in the kitchen.

So pretty!!  I love our kitchen; it is amazing.  But, I do wish we could put some wallpaper up in it.  Ahhhhh rental life.

Kate, yes, the wallpapered kitchens you shared are wonderful; adds just that touch of whimsy and freshness. . . speaking of which; I did get South to Solana Beach Cedros Avenue and Bixby & Ball. Darling shop, an old California Cottage/Bungalow all re-done in bright white w/ a Hamptons vibe. . . found John Robshaw sheets/linens I am coveting and gorgeous candles, books, throws and a few Jonathan Adler pieces to keep the ‘edge on’. You must try to get there, how about when you and Katy next come south I’ll escort you to a few spots I know will intrigue you?!! I haven’t received any suggestions for a hotel in your city so (as of now) we’ll stay @ the Ritz Carleton this coming w/e. I have Jane and Gary Danko and Kokarri on my list of good places to eat. . . so far so good. xxd

I’m about 40 million years late, but happy birthday to your dad and to Graham! I hope you had a great weekend celebrating your father’s memory!

About today’s post, did you know that you can find temporary wallpaper that’s removable? Jordan of Oh Happy Day used it in her San Fran apartment and updated her readers on how easily it came down when they moved. I’d recommend checking that option out.

    Yes, rental life…
Love Michael Penny’s kitchen. I notice in more than one instance here, that the wallpaper acts as a distraction from the everyday, ho-hum cabinets. Smart.
