Outdoor Stool Options

Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments yesterday!!  I’m so giddy because of them.

As seen by yesterday’s post, we have a little bench on our deck which we love to sit at and drink wine while we’re bar-b-queing.  We usually don’t actually eat dinner outside because by that time the fog has rolled in, and our fingers are blue.

We need a few more things to finish off the area: outdoor art on the wall, cushions for the bench and some sort of table/spot to rest our drinks.  Our deck has become quite cozy with all of our planter boxes and so I proposed to Graham that we do stools or side tables for our cocktail holders/footrest instead of a large cocktail table.  Here’s what I’ve come across so far as options:

This Frog Rain Drain Accent Table from Pottery Barn is a fantastic fit.  It has a great look, is the perfect size and in the correct color scheme.  However, it’s $499.  Think I’ll wait for it to go on sale…

Another choice is actually not at all practical but super cute.  I usually go for cute over practical so this may win.

Rope Ottoman from Nautical Luxuries.

Another love of mine is this fabulous outdoor ottoman that I blogged about here.  The fact that I’ve been thinking about it since I blogged about it a year ago may mean that I’ll be saving up my pennies and purchasing away.

Available at Colleen and Company.  It is ceramic and the most adorable thing I have ever laid my eyes on.  It can also be custom painted, but that’ll cost ya.

While this next one isn’t my favorite one, it is the best price and it would work.

Metal Side Table on sale at The Company Store for $34.99.

Which one would you choose?

i ‘m w/ you about the first option, but until the budget can handle it, i’d go w/ the metal tables; clean straight lines, color can be changed @ will and they won’t distract from all the ‘nature’ going on. . . simpler and better as i see it!

Honestly – the metal one from The Company Store. It’s compact, simple and inexpensive!

I think that I’d go to Goodwill or your favorite thrift store. I think that you want to stay small here. I’ve also seen little glass tables at the Discovery Shop (American Cancer Society). Good Luck. Can’t wait to see pictures of your new apartment.

I like the idea of something round to counterbalance the straight lines of your great-looking bench.

I love the white outdoor ottoman, it’s very pretty and stylish, brings the interior of the home to the outdoors. I would change the color though, grass stains show up on white too easily.

Just bought the last white metal table for $23 plus 20% for the sunroom! It reminds me of the strut table -no?
    Thanks Kate!
