Tres Tintas

I am smitten with this edgy wallpaper by Tres Tintas, a Barcelona based company.  Founded by three brothers they look to Latin American and Spanish artists to create the stunning works of art.

You can find the paper sold closer to home at Walnut Wallpaper in LA.

Happy 30th birthday, Orin Wicks. ūüôā

Baby Shower Recap

This past Saturday, I had a great time co-hosting a shower. ¬†The weather could not have been better and it was so much fun catching up with friends. ¬†I thought I’d share pictures from the event today…

We ate at one long table outside at my mom’s house and then moved over to a rose garden area under a large oak tree to open presents. ¬†My co-host, Rita, is a very talented interior designer so we had a great time working on the table decor together.

We decided to go with the colors that Shannon (our special mom to be) is using for her nursery.  I found pink fabric that looked similar to her bedding and with the help of my mom we sewed them into runners for the table.

For the flowers, we used mint julep cups and baby silver cups that my mom had to run down the table. ¬†For the center of the table, we used a blue and white vase and put in roses from my mom’s garden. ¬†Each table seat had little gray boxes filled with Shannon’s favorite candies and we tied in the gray with the gray and white striped straws.

And now for some people pictures.  Shannon was glowing and oh so beautiful in her colorful dress.  Here she is below with her proud mom.

All of us girls went to high school together – such fun to get back together again.Thank you to my mom for hosting the party at her house, for helping with making the table runners, going to Cost Plus with me for finishing details, and making the flower arrangements. ¬†We couldn’t have done it without you!

We all can’t wait to meet Baby Foote in August!!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday!! ¬†I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me. ¬†Saturday is the baby shower, I’m co-hosting…I’ve got to finish up all the details on it. ¬†Sunday is Father’s Day; it still is a tough day for me. ¬†I always have my dad on my mind and much more so on Father’s Day. ¬†He lit up our family in so many ways and while we try to keep his fire going, there’s a huge space in all of our lives missing.

We miss you and love you, Dad!!

Horrible segue here but Dad always loved a party. ¬†And Saturday’s party will be a great one. For the baby shower, one of the details we will be using is striped straws (fingers crossed they make it in the mail on time). ¬†I ordered them from this ETSY shop: IsaKay Boutique. ¬†If you’re already planning out your Fourth of July, I’d pick up some straws…

They always add such a fun element of festivity. ¬†I love that Melissa of the blog, Seagrass Interiors, went with green striped straws at her beautiful wedding…

They matched the groom’s tie perfectly…

For more pictures of their gorgeous wedding, check them out on her fantastic blog, here.

Happy Friday – hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

An Even Better Delivery

Yesterday, I mentioned that I was expecting a delivery of a beautiful sofa for a client. ¬†The sofa came, it was perfect and I absolutely love it in the space – here’s a sneaky sneak peak (not styled and unfinished project)…

What could be a better delivery then that?! ¬†A beautiful baby boy!!!!! ¬†My sister-in-law is a champion and gave birth to the most precious baby boy yesterday. ¬†He’s so cute. ¬†Thank you, Lord, for a healthy baby and mom. ¬†I know “Grandfather” (my dad) is smiling down on him.

So today, I wanted to dedicate this post to my sister-in-law,¬†Lucy, my brother, Don and their¬†beautiful¬†new baby – Austin. ¬†Austin is a family name in our family and Lucy’s family; I LOVE the name and baby. ¬†With three little boys, their clan is complete and oh so adorable. ¬†Congrats!! ¬†Love you all.

I’m happy to report that the Vanguard sofa I ordered for a client is finally getting delivered today. ¬†There was a slightly longer wait then normal but hopefully that’ll make the sofa that much sweeter.

Here’s a sneak peak…

It also comes slipcovered, if you please…

Vanguard sofa, available to the trade and “select retailers”. ¬†By my excitement, you’d think this beauty was getting delivered to my home. Gotta say, I love my job! ūüôā ¬†Sorry for the short post today…

New Pillow

It all started with a little post from Christina over at Full House. ¬†She is one of my all time favorite bloggers and a must read on my list. ¬†She’s also a creative genius, check out her guest bedroom….

Amazeballs. ¬†I love the blown up dollar bill sign with “In God We Trust” circled. ¬†Many times Christina posts items that I love and often dream about purchasing. ¬†But about a month ago I actually pulled the trigger after this post on hand blocked print fabric.

I loved these prints from this e-bay store so much, that I whipped out my credit card and ordered away.  About ten days later a package came from India; I felt so worldly without ever setting foot outside of my apartment door.  I then ran down to Fabric Outlet in the mission and got some coordinating orange fabric uber cheap.  I then sent it off to my seamstress.

Finally, this little puppy came home in the car with me…

And happily hopped onto my settee…

Welcome home, pillow…

The pillow is actually made to go on my bed as the last little piece for my bedding. ¬†However, the headboard is still en route from Florida so for the time being, it’ll sit pretty on the settee. ¬†I love the scale of it on there that I may just keep it as is.

Doors By The Sea

We had such a blast this past weekend. ¬†On Friday night, we cruised down to Carmel where we had a fabulous dinner. ¬†The next day, we took off for Paso Robles for a gorgeous wedding (I forgot to take pictures). ¬†While walking around the town of Carmel, I fell in love with the cottage doors there and so I thought I’d devote today’s post to them…hopefully, they can provide someone with door style or color ideas…

Hands down the cutest fire station, I’ve ever seen!
