If you didn’t have time yesterday to check out all the beauty in the latest Rue issue, head on over there.  Most inspirational?  The home of Bailey from Peppermint Bliss (a blog I love).  Feast your eyes…

It’s one of the best homes I have seen in a long time!  I love the bold colors, the fabulous wallpaper, the unique fabric choices.  Go check out her entire home here

What’s the concensus on the painting covering the window? Is that for privacy? It’s clever if that’s what it’s used for. What about the light it would block…just looking for an expert’s opinion!

That’s an interesting comment because the painting on the window has created a little stir from comments I’ve seen elsewhere. I would guess that it was put there so that you don’t have to stare at a brick wall when the window is open. Or it may have just been put there for styling for the photo shoot.

It was put there because we are literally 3 feet from the brick wall of our neighbors house, and a small window looking into their much used family room. The painting blocks their view into our bathroom but allows us to leave the window open for some light since otherwise we would just have to keep the blinds closed all the time. because their window lines up with the center of our bathroom window, there was no way to just do a half curtain.
    Hope that clears that up!

Oh I LOVE this house, too – I’ve been following Bailey’s blog for awhile and it was so much fun to finally see her house! Love your blog – I’m a friend of Ann WIlliams (Simonson) in Nashville!
